Royden Lewis is an A-Grade Electrician and the Managing Director of Powerworx Aust. Pty Ltd, bringing more than two decades of industry experience across telecommunications, audiovisual systems, and electrical contracting. Known for his hands-on approach and no-BS attitude, Roy’s career began back in 1995 working with Telstra’s Pit and Pipe team, where he gained firsthand knowledge of underground cable infrastructure and network rollout processes. The following year, he moved across to Optus, where he spent five years as a Cable TV Installer and HFC Network Maintenance Technician—building, maintaining, and troubleshooting broadband networks long before streaming was mainstream.

In 2002, Roy stepped into a contractor and Team Leader role with Tech2Home, coordinating and completing large-scale installations of home theatre, AV, and tech gear on behalf of Harvey Norman. The work spanned residential, commercial, and industrial environments and sharpened both his customer service and technical leadership skills.

With a growing passion for the electrical trade, Roy began his electrical apprenticeship in 2006, cutting his teeth on some of Melbourne’s most high-end residential builds. It was here he developed a deep understanding of premium electrical systems, smart home integration, and high-spec installations—skills that continue to define his work today. In 2011, Roy launched Powerworx and took on an electrical franchise with the Grey Army until 2009, driven by a mission to offer reliable, high-quality, and honest electrical services to the elderly, NDIS clients and local businesses. Under his leadership, Powerworx Electrical, based in Bacchus Marsh has grown into a trusted name and now services the wider Moorabool region as well many regional and rural areas of Victoria.

Roy specialises in a wide range of services including general electrical, energy-efficient LED upgrades, smart automation, CCTV and security systems, and rental property compliance. Whether it’s a simple fault find or a full system upgrade, Roy brings the same commitment to safety, quality, and good old-fashioned customer service—every job, every time.
